Temari balls are a 1000 year old folk art that originated in China and were introduced to Japan over 500 years ago. Temari are highly valued and cherished gifts symbolizing deep friendship and loyalty, and are often given as tokens of good luck. The brilliant colored threads are symbolic of wishing the recipient a brilliant and happy life.

I enjoyed your display at JAX. Especially interested in seeing the thimbles. On my list of things to do; or in this case, try. Have found some info online but searching for more. Thanks for showing your beautiful art at the airport.
